TOKYO - Fujifilm has launched the GFX 100, a non-mirrored camera with a 102 megapixel mid-range sensor.

This illuminated illuminated sensor, which Fujifilm describes as a large-scale sensor, is 70 percent larger than the full image sensor. In other words, you get more accuracy and detail with GFX 100 than non-mirrored cameras or full-size DSLRs.

Fujifilm Sales and Marketing Director Toshihisa Iida said in a press release in Tokyo on Thursday, May 23, that the camera is designed to help users keep moments of life as accurate and accurate as possible.

"We are not just developing technology because of technology," he said.

Fujifilm GFX 100 was first introduced as a concept during the Photokina camera trade in September last year. This is expected to be available in Singapore in July for $ 14,999 (body only).

It has some of the first in its class, such as the five-axis image stabilization that Fujifilm claims to be effective for up to 5.5 stops to reduce shaking. This is also the first camera with this image sensor that offers original 4K video recordings with 30p.

Moreover, the GFX 100 offers fast autofocus (AF) in almost every situation, which is not always the case for medium and large cameras. This is because 3.78 million pixels of phase detector AF spread to almost 100% of the surface of the image sensor.

In addition, the GFX 100 also includes a Fujifilm fourth-generation X-Processor 4-image processor for 16-bit RAW and tiff output files. It is also said to increase the accuracy in the detection of face and eye AF.

The GFX 100 is also equipped with a 5.76 million high-resolution electronic viewfinder and a 3.2-inch touch screen for taking photos.

But just as impressive as the technical features, the best of the GFX 100 is probably a light but strong magnesium alloy housing (1.4 kg). This means that the GFX 100 is a "very practical camera" according to Fujifilm Shigetaka Komor CEO and Chairman.

GFX 100 is resistant to dust and moisture. Also cold resistance up to -10 degrees.

It has a built-in handle that allows you to quickly switch to portrait shots. The handle can hold a maximum of two NP-T125 batteries, charging up to 800 images at a time.

The camera is suitable for two SD card slots with UHS-II support. It has a USB-C port - for charging and data transfer - both a headphone connection and an HDMI port.
